250 Years of Beethoven in the European City of Bocholt "Border Crossers Ludwig van Beethoven" - Peace Concert with Choirs from Bocholt's Twin Cities


Music without borders - the "Town Twinning" project choir, founded in 2011, will give a concert in the Beethoven anniversary year 2020 + 1 with a choir from the friendly town of Aalten-Bredevoort (NL) and other music groups and soloists from Bocholt and the surrounding area.

The goal is a peace concert and friendship event in times of the Corona pandemic as an encounter of people and music in the European city of Bocholt to consolidate and expand European contacts and to network the choirs.

Organiser

In the Beethoven Year plus 1, the "Town Twinning" project choir invites choirs and music groups from the friendly town of Aalten-Bredevoort as well as Bocholt and the surrounding area to a large peace concert on Saturday, 25 September 2021 in St. George's Church. The choir would like to celebrate the outstanding composer Beethoven under the motto "Music knows no borders". The Stadskoor Bredevoort is expected to perform at this concert. The other participants from Bocholt are the project choir "Town Twinning", the Collegium musicum and the St. Georg Church Choir from Bocholt (Germany) as well as the trumpeter Georg Dieckhues.
