A Musical Walk Down the Path of Democracy

The event is postponed.

Music cannot convey political opinions, or can it? We will explore the realm of music and politics with a musical walk through the former Bundesviertel (Federal District), which also contains the cradle of German democracy.

Organiser

Ludwig van Beethoven fought for a world in which “all men shall be brothers” throughout his entire life and many of his works deal with the struggle for values such as liberty, equality, and fraternity. As part of the celebrations commemorating the 2020 Beethoven Anniversary Year, Jazzfest Bonn joins forces with the German National Museum of Contemporary History (Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland) for a dialogue between music and politics. An entertaining stroll with an exclusive look behind the scenes of political Bonn illuminated by a musical framework.

Starts: 2:00 pm in the foyer of the German National Museum of Contemporary History (Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland). Follow the music.

Admission is free of charge, but reservations are required. For reservations, please contact office(at)jazzfest-bonn.de by 10 May 2020. You will receive confirmation by e-mail.

The names of the musicians and speakers will be announced as soon as possible.
