Organiser

The debut album of the German-French-British trio around the Berlin saxophonist Daniel Erdmann already received a lot of attention and was awarded a Jazz-Echo and the Annual Prize of the German Record Critics. With their new album, Velvet Revolution consistently go further. All pieces were composed by Daniel Erdmann, who was awarded the SWR Jazz Prize in 2020, especially for this formation and the individual sound of its virtuoso members. They reflect on personal themes or refer to films or literature, such as Kaurismäki's "The Clouds Pass By" or Lars von Trier's "Melancholia". Echoes of 20th century European art music can be found here as well as West African rhythms or an unorthodox imitation of a Bach chorale. In this way, Erdmann, Ceccaldi and Hart live up to their band name - and the audience has great fun in their concerts.
