Beethoven in the countryside
On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's birth, the Classical Days are dedicated to the composer under the motto "Beethoven in the countryside".
With a wide variety of formats and concert contents, we bring the great genius to life, and of course the sociable, cheerful side of the composer must not be missing.
The children's programme this year focuses on hearing - an important aspect of Beethoven's life and work, which was overshadowed by a severe hearing condition and eventually almost complete deafness. By "listening" with the whole body, one experiences music in a completely different way; this is to be experienced in this one-week workshop.
We will embed Beethoven's reference to nature in the Bavarian Pre-Alps. Beethoven's music will be performed in different places, also in nature. With Beethoven's folk music and dances, we guide our visitors into exclusive concert experiences. Culinary delights, such as pretzels and Obazdn, will also have their place!
Soloists of the orchestra "Le Concert Olympique" from Belgium, founded by Beethoven expert Jan Caeyers, will play masterpieces by Beethoven, mirrored and framed by works by W.A. Mozart, J. Haydn and R. Strauss. International artists from Belgium, France, Austria and Germany will delight our audience.
At the Academy, young talents learn the finesses of Beethoven's works. Experienced lecturers support the students from all over Europe on their way to the great stages of the world. A truly inspiring togetherness.
