Beethoven's piano sonatas
Evgeni Koroliov is an outstanding figure on the international piano scene.
He convinces with his unpretentious and forceful interpretations. "I am not concerned with making myself interesting. I am concerned with the music itself," he said in an interview for the anniversary magazine of the Beethoven-Haus. Koroliov has been closely associated with the Beethoven-Haus since the chamber music hall was founded.
In the anniversary year, he will therefore play a cycle of all Beethoven's piano sonatas here for the first time. Concerts and recordings with individual sonatas have always met with an outstanding response from audiences and the press. This cycle, which can only be experienced in Bonn, is one of the highlights of the anniversary year 2020.
