Chamber Concert - Bartholdy Quintett

The repertoire for string quintet is mostly performed by string quartets, which are supplemented by another musician. But the repertoire for this instrumentation is so attractive and rewarding that in the Mendelssohn Year 2009 five experienced chamber musicians decided to found a permanent string quintet. With quintets of the two major "Bs" after Beethoven, they have put true highlights of the genre on the programme.
