They dare. You can do it. They dive into Beethoven's masterpieces and glide playfully to new, never-before-heard climaxes. Surprising. Fantastic. Brilliant. A perfect duo for brilliant improvisations.
For a good 40 years, the studied musician Klaus der Geiger has stood for virtuoso violin playing and socially critical lyrics. There is hardly a pedestrian zone that he has not played in. Honoured for his life's work long ago, this is no reason for him to become quieter or even to retire. On the contrary. In many musical projects and formations, he puts his creative diversity into practice with ever new aspects.
So it comes as no surprise that the ingenious musician meets Marius Peters, the guitarist of the Cologne music scene who has already won numerous awards. For five years, the two have been touring together throughout Germany, playing on stages large and small. Each concert is a special and unique experience. Sometimes one accompanies with his guitar, sometimes the other with his violin - resulting in rapid improvisations, wide-swinging melodic arches, intimate ballads and always surprising sounds.
Experience Beethoven anew in a ravishing concert with Klaus der Geiger and guitarist Marius Peters.
The concert was planned for the Beethoven Year 2020, but unfortunately had to be postponed to Sunday, 3.10.2021 due to the corona pandemic.
Kölner Rundschau: ... In loud as well as in quiet, in fast as well as in slow, in interpretation as well as in improvisation, the well-rehearsed duo takes all the freedom in the world in its concerts ...
