Lieder.Freude.Miteinander – an Evening of Song with Juliane Banse/Helmut Deutsch

Two titans of the art of song set the final chord for the festival "Lieder.Freude.Miteinander."

With the 4 serious songs by Johannes Brahms, which he himself premiered in Bad Honnef, songs by Beethoven and other works, Juliane Banse and Helmut Deutsch bring a varied festival to a close. Juliane Banse is not without reason considered one of the most versatile artists of her generation. At home on the big stages, she sang Strauss` Arabella at the MET in New York, for example, and has worked in concert with Lorin Maazel, among others. Lieder recitals are a matter close to her heart, "especially since more and more major promoters are refraining from them". Her accompanist Helmut Deutsch is one of the best and most successful song accompanists worldwide. The Vienna-born pianist's career began with the singer Hermann Prey - a career that took him first to Japan and then all over the world. The most important singers of our time make music with him, appreciate him as a great artist and strong partner.
