Lieder.Freude.Miteinander – an Evening of Song with Juliane Banse/Helmut Deutsch

Organiser
Juliane Banse and Helmut Deutsch will kick off the varied festival week with the “Four Serious Songs” by Johannes Brahms, which he premiered himself in Bad Honnef, songs by Beethoven and other works. It is not without reason that Juliane Banse is considered one of the most versatile artists of her generation. She is at home on the great stages of the world and has performed, for example, Strauss’ “Arabella” at the MET in New York or worked together with Lorin Maazel in concert, to name but a few. She considers Lied evenings a matter of the heart, especially as more and more of the major event organizers are no longer doing them. Her song accompanist Helmut Deutsch is one of the best and most successful song accompanists worldwide. The Vienna-born pianist's career began with singer Hermann Prey and took him first to Japan and then the rest of the world. He has worked with the most important singers of our time and they all hold him in high esteem as a great artist and strong partner.
