New Paths? Old Clichés? Mozart – Stefan Zweig – Beethoven
The author Stefan Zweig dealt with music in many ways: in his texts and reflections, in his intense collaboration with composers, who set his words to music, in his connections to cultural figures, such as Romain Rolland, Arturo Toscanini and Bruno Walter, as well as in his activities as a proficient autograph collector. In addition to these topics, the conference also addresses questions on the challenges of current Viennese research on classical music in lectures, presentations and concerts, and thus creates a dialogue between scientists and musicians.
In cooperation with the International Stefan Zweig Society, the Mozarteum University Salzburg and the International Mozarteum Foundation.
