RSB Concerto: Karina Canellakis conducts Beethoven's Sinphony No. 8 (Event cancelled)


To contain the further spread of the coronavirus, all RSB concerts from November 2 to 30, 2020, have been cancelled. In doing so, the RSB is complying with the infection protection ordinance of the Berlin Senate of October 29, 2020, according to which cultural venues may not be opened to the public during this period.

Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 8 and Jean Sibelius' Symphony No. 5 with Karina Canellakis and the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin (RSB) in the Philharmonie Berlin

The RSB continues its Beethoven series with Karina Canellakis. The RSB's Principal Guest Conductor has already presented herself in this country with numbers 7 and 9. Now number 8 follows, which she conducted in his place at the Graz Festival in the legacy of Nikolaus Harnoncourt. Beethoven's cheerful Ernst Beethoven is answered by the brilliant flight of the "swan-understanding" Sibelius. The main theme of his Symphony No. 5 he claims to have listened to the majestic train of wild swans in the sky over Finland.
