Are political struggles drowning in identity politics? Or does the growing self-confidence of minorities and the multiplication of perspectives only reveal how much (white, Central European, Christian) identity politics has already determined our society?

Are political struggles drowned in identity politics? Or does the growing self-confidence of minorities and the multiplication of perspectives only make visible how much (white, Central European, Christian) identity politics has already determined our society? How is living together changing as a result of the new courtesies and the struggle for the right forms of expression? Is freedom of expression under threat, or is it just being fought for? On 20 September 2021, journalist Petra Gerster and journalist Mohamed Amjahid will discuss this with Studio Bonn host Kolja Reichert in an installation by artist Verena Issel.

Venue

Bundeskunsthalle
Helmut-Kohl-Allee 4
53113 Bonn
