T. Feldmann & F. Dupree / Frank Dupree Trio

The event is postponed.

When multi-award-winning classical and jazz musicians play together for the first time with sparkling enthusiasm and joy, their musical worlds move closer together by themselves. A touching, personal encounter with selected works by Maurice Ravel, John Cage and Duke Ellington.

Organiser

Tobias Feldmann and Frank Dupree

The violinist Tobias Feldmann has made a name for himself on the international scene with his classical elegance and seemingly effortless virtuosity. The Berlin-based violinist was a laureate at the international Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2015 and the winner of the German Music Competition in 2012.

Feldmann and pianist Frank Dupree have long been friends, and now the two will finally play together as a duo. A classical programme with shades of jazz.

Frank Dupree – Piano

----

Frank Dupree Trio – Preludes

Frank Dupree is a musical Wunderkind. After first training as a jazz drummer, he was increasingly drawn to the classical piano repertoire during his youth. He loves to explore the music of the 20th century and discover connections between the works of contemporary and historical composers.

Together with his jazz trio, he will present unique arrangements of classical and jazz music, including Beethoven's great Opus 111 from his final years and two Preludes.

Frank Dupree – Piano

Jakob Krupp – Bass

Meinhard "Obi" Jenne – Drums
