The exhibition space ultra all inclusive, designed by Frank Bölter (*1969), is simultaneously an installation of his works, an artist's studio, a laboratory and a workshop for the museum guests. Characterised by the possible creative participation of the museum guests at any time, the space is subject to constant change.

Based on the folding technique of origami with its characterisation as a craft or hobby, the objects created and shown here take on an explosive charge due to their oversized nature. Playful, harmless folding becomes insane challenges and impositions, solitude becomes actions that can only be handled together. Dynamically, the harmless handicraft process can unexpectedly take on a life of its own. Irritations or even catastrophes are planned. At the same time, Frank Bölter takes his audience seriously in the sense of empowerment, a communal experience and participation in artistic processes.

In the course of the exhibition, four large-format folding works will be created with Frank Bölter. Children, young people and adults - whether hobbyists, the inexperienced or origami cracks - are always involved. Construction, transformation, destruction and disappearance: all inclusive.

The exhibition is supported by BTHVN2020 with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the City of Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis.
