Finding events

Due to the current Corona development, most of the announced events will not take place in the foreseeable future. Please contact the organizer regarding info about the event realisation and possible ticket refunds.

The BTHVN2020 Database contains all the events that take place within the framework of the anniversary year in Germany. As Beethoven's anniversary year is designed by various actors, ticket sales start individually by each organizer.

The BTHVN2020 events which take place in Nordrhein-Westfalen are subdivided into the following genres: Exhibition, Concert, Concert Format, Festival, Opera, Dance, Theme Week, Drama, Performance, Lecture and Congress. Under the genre 'Side programme' you will find an abundance of events, which additionally take place nationwide in the year 2020.

#bebeethoven: On Palestrina

Kammermusiksaal des Beethoven-Hauses Bonn | 53111 Bonn

For sound engineer Johann Günther the recording is part of the artistic process. In this concert, he gives the audience an insight into his work and makes live mixing an experience.

With headphones they bring along, the listeners dive into the world of silence and sound, which the musicians* discover in the notes of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. Melody lines become musical drawings through which the brilliance of the original shimmers again and again.

#bebeethoven: C.R.E.D.O.

Bundeskunsthalle | 53113 Bonn

C.R.E.D.O. is a cosmic radio apparatus for delusional observations. An artificial intelligence trained in human theories, fantasies and speculations about extraterrestrial life is desperately searching for the final proof with the help of a radio telescope: is there someone out there?

Installed on the roof of the Bundeskunsthalle, the signals that C.R.E.D.O. receives are faded away and after dark are visualized from there on the outer skin of the Post Tower.
